I'm currently in Chicago, spending a week with my best friend from elementary school. Given that my family has moved SO much, I haven't always had the ability to maintain lifelong friendships. I've only known Ashley since 8th grade, so 11 years this year, and thus less than half my life, I consider my friendship with her a 'lifelong' one.

I normally come out to see her (and visit home, of sorts) every Thanksgiving weekend, but because of our frankly heinous winter last year, which decided to start early, I was unable to make it in. So, this is sort of to make up for that. Plus, I NEEDED a vacation. I think it's well-deserved.

I have nothing else much to say except that Ash and I? Are so alike, it's scary.

Good trip. Sucked to cut it short (for reasons we haven't talked about yet) and foot pain, but otherwise, good trip. =)
