We had about 9" at the time (gotten a few since then,) and then the driveway was snowblowed (snowblown?) onto the sides, so that's probably close to 18" of a pile-up.
What amuses me is that we live on a corner, and apparently a windy one at that, because our side yard is always bare. Like, to the grass, bare. And then there's a waist high pile of snow in the front yard, in front of the walk. And like, two inches on the walk. Convenient!
