I love fall, autumn, what have you. To use an old analogy, I love fall like a fat kid loves cake. I love everything about it. The colors are my favorite, the deep reds and golds and browns and oranges. The smells…oh em gee, the smells. My favorite candle in the world is a cheap little candle from the Shopping Behemoth That Shall Not Be Named called mulled cider. They usually come out in late July/early August and I buy boxes and boxes of all the shapes and sizes. And I’m not exaggerating, either. I’ll take a picture of my dozens of candles when I buy them. I have to, because they only come out for one season! They’re gone by Novemberish, but I love the smell year round, so I have to stock up!

I still have my big, four pillar candle–about half of that is left–and one small pillar candle and three votives. I AM RUNNING LOW, PEOPLE.

But I love any fall smells. I like Autumn Wreath from Yankee and ANY sort of apple cinnamon. Gar, my head is going to explode thinking about all of these smells.

I also love the weather. My favorite weather is cool (low-mid 40s), with rain. As my friend at work put it yesterday (who feels the same way), not misty but not raining. The drippiness, in between. Thinking Scotland, Ireland, England. That sort of weather. It may seem like a dreary day to you but to me IT IS HAPPINESS AND KITTENS.

Speaking of kittens, here’s mine:

Moe

Now I want to get one of those Yankee Candle car jars, apple cinnamon scented, to make my car smell lovely and fallish.  I can’t wait til it’s cooler in the mornings again so I can start wearing my cute fall clothes. WHICH THEY ARE ALREADY SELLING. HOW IS A GIRL SUPPOSED TO DECIDE? I ONLY MAKE SO MUCH MONEY. I HATE YOU, CLOTHING DESIGNERS. (Not really, I love you, don’t leave me!!!)

Ugh I know. I won't complain about the heat here, but, it is le suck. I do not enjoy walking to work in muggy humid grossness.

And I KNOW! I want to wear my new jacket! (Wait...are these the same new jackets?)

I wish we had Bath & Body Works. Well, I suppose they're very similar stores anyways. Omg but this smell...I would send it to you...hm I wonder if the custom people would eat it. Probably. They eat everything.

I can take or leave Bath & Body Works. There's nothing there that I'm so desperate for that I can't live without the store. I like when I lived near BS because I bought my makeup there--organic makeup. I'd like to say it's for altruistic reasons, but really, I have the most sensitive skin in the freaking world.

And yes, they are the same jackets.

All those stores are just dangerous, dangerous places for me. I like smelly stuff. A lot. I can spend hours going around the store sniffing everything and trying to decide what to buy. I want it all!

Me too. I have two entire shelves dedicated to sprays and perfumes and lotions in the bathroom. Along with the two plastic drawerfuls in the thing in the bedroom. D gets pissed off because his stuff gets shoved aside in favor of the perfume or spray I generally only end up wearing once.

There are so many I love and buy, but I tend to gravitate toward the same couple of scents. Oops.

But he can't say anything! He has...three...hm. Never mind.

I threw so many out last time I moved, cause there were just so many I didn't use anymore, or had been there for EONS. I still have a basketful though. I've been better lately...somewhat...but only because I purposefully do not enter that store!

haha guys just don't understand. It's all smelly and lotiony and wonderful. We can't resist!

The Martha Stewart in me is wanting to buy a little basket from Michaels to throw them all in and put on the top of the tank so I stop taking up so much shelf space. But then, what would I put on the shelves?
