Someone has a sign up for free kittens by the vending machine. It's one of those little homemade signs with the tear strips at the bottom and it has one picture of all five (or six?) kittens that are up for adoption.

I emailed a co-worker about them, after I saw this sign. This is the same co-worker who sits next to SHERRY THE TABLE SHAKER, but pah. If you email, then no one can hear you, no matter how close you're sitting!

Last Spring ('07) I got a kitten from this woman's sister's litter and that kitten is Moe. I've posted about Moe before. He's a little crazy bundle of fluff who likes to set himself on fire cause trouble, since he's only a year old. So, it's sort of a running joke between us, whenever someone's cat comes up for adoption. I told her about the sign and emailed: “you should get one! : D” Her response was that her husband would divorce her if she brought home a kitten.

Later, she asked where the picture was and went to look at it and she came back and said something “they are soooooo cute," and how she wanted the calico.

And I said, "Well, if you don’t want a kitten, I have an approximately one year old cat you can have. If you overlook the psychotic tendencies, he’s one of the best cats I’ve ever had.”

And she’s like “Oh, that would be the part where he lights himself on fire?”

and I said “…oh...that part, too.”

Minor detail, really. Who wants a fluffy cute kitten when you can have someone more exciting like Moe?

haha I love the convos you two have. You're so awesome. They make my day!

I would love a fluffy cute kitten, please. My dad has one, but she snots on me. I don't like her much.

You don't think the snot is so cute? Hm. I can see your point. Maybe the fire-setter is better.

She doesn't like...sneeze. She just...drips.

eww I hate when my cat does that. I really don't appreciate being dripped on!

May I ask how your cat lit himself on fire? That sounds very interesting...

My cat tried to climb through the window from the outside once.. only problem was that there was one of those nice big screens to keep cats bugs out.. so he ended up ripping the screen out the window and falling into the hot tub. Very exciting day.

Lazy = copy + paste:

Not set himself on fire, as in past tense. Sets as in, continues to do so. I don't think he can feel pain? So he spends time cuddling on the gas stove while I'm cooking. So, I have to actively keep an eye on him any time the stove or oven is on. He's already burned off whiskers, a patch of fur off the top of his head, part of his tail and a spot on his side.

He also likes to swim! For some reason he loves water. He showers with me, and if he gets into the bathroom while I'm taking a bath, he climbs in and floats around in the water before coming up to snuggle on my chest. He's... not all there, you know what I mean?

So, I'm going to have to join in and ask, exactly how did the kitty set himself on fire? I'm more of a dog person myself.

I like dogs, too. My dad has a golden retriever. His name is Marshall, but he gets called Goofy or Harvey all the time. Among all the other stupid names I come up with for him. He likes me better only because I'm not alpha dog, like my dad is, so I'm not scary to him. He loves sister. :) And apparently speaks English.

I would have Moe. He's not mental, just unique. :)

Oh, unique, is that it. Well, Mr. Unique has a bright blue mohawk right now. Showing his independent style?
