Who says 'thus far'? Seriously? Is it just me? Oh well.

Hello! Today is brought to you by the colors yellow (like the sun!) and green (like the trees!) and the nickel I just found in the pocket of my skirt. What's amusing about said nickel is that this is a new skirt and this is the first time I'm wearing it.

See? Target pays me to wear clothes. Trufax.

So, let's see. What haven't I complained about yet? Honestly, there's not much to complain about lately. In fact, things are pretty good! My boss was on vacation for the last two weeks, so work's been good, aside from SHERRY THE TABLE SHAKER. The heat and humidity finally broke late yesterday evening and today is absolutely 100% mondo gorgeous out. It feels much like it did on the 4th. Warm in the sun, cool in the shade with a nice breeze to temper it all out. Not a cloud in the bright blue sky and I can smell grilled food and I can smell burning leaves. Which, you know, is a fall scent but whatevs. It's one of my faves, so I won't complain about it.

I've made two--COUNT 'EM--two new friends in the last week or so, one here (Cassandra <3) and one IRL. Part of me thinks I am only being friends with him because of his SWEET 1955 Ford Thunderbird. I sort of have a thing for old cars. A friend of mine at work has an uncle who's selling a 1957 Ford Fairlane Skyliner hard top convertible, for a not terribly extravagant price, BUT...my new friend, K, his dad owns one of the bigger classic car restorers in the city and they have a 1955 Chevy Bel Air, which, you know, I might be willing to give up my first born for. And it's RED. Gah.

That reminds me. Has anyone else seen the retro Post cereal boxes or the retro M & Ms bags? Because if not, I think I'm going effing crazy. I swear I saw them at the grocery store yesterday but I can't find them, or any reference to them, anywhere online.

P.S. Can you tell I like retro, vintage things?

Right now I'm getting ready to make some (hopefully) tasty gluten-free chocolate chip cookies because, honestly, a girl can only eat so many M&Ms for dessert before getting sick of them.

Speaking of getting sick of things, I'm going to shut up now. Because really, this much sunshine and happiness just makes me ill.

I never find money in MY news clothes. I demand a refund!

And I knew it. The truth comes out. You're totally just being friends with him for his car, aren't you? Car lover. Hm wait. That was supposed to come out as an insult, but that didn't work. Oh well!

I think you're going crazy. There are no retro cereal boxes! Who would do that? You's seeing things chicky.

(seriously? chicky? ok i'm going now.)

And there's no "going" crazy. I'm already there, babe.

(Do you have any idea how long it took me to type those two sentences correctly? Eesh.)

Book 11 is good, though. One of my faves. I have a hard time choosing between 10 - 12. 13s not bad, but 14 is just damn funny. It's Morelli-centric, but there's tons of Ranger in it, too. XD

Yay more Ranger! So far, 10 is definitely my favourite. It was SO funny, and plus? Mmm lots of Ranger XD But 11 is really good so far too. They're all so good!

You will LOVE the end of 11. Nothing he says, but his reaction to certain events. LOVE.

Nickel in the skirt? SCORE!

Hee! I adore old cars too. It makes me feel really awesome to love cars and be a girl. I'm going to bag me some crazy man who loves cars, and all his friends will be envious, ha!

I went for a walk today on a golf course, and had to spend a good ten minutes admiring the beautiful cars. There was a 1955(ish) Jaguar, which almost made me faint. Perfect condition. I'm also pretty psyched because my parents called on Saturday and told me they just bought a 1948 Packer. I want to see it now :D

Retro cereal boxes? That's awesome! I hope you can find them!

Warning: Random geeking ahead

I found a quarter in a new shoe a couple days later. XD

I'm such a 'tard when it comes to cars, though. My friends hate it. We'll be at the store, minding our own business when suddenly I'll be like. "OMG! Look! There's a 1947 Buick Roadmaster!" Dead. Silence. I find it kinda funny but I think some of them are at the "smile and nod" point of our friendship. XD

WTF. I wish I got paid to wear clothes! >O Ah well. XD;; Vintage things are epic. Someone on my street has this incredibly hot car. It's one of those really old ones...although I have no idea what it's called in official context, since I'm clueless when it comes to stuff like that. XD;

And YAY for being mentioned! I <3 you too, dude! I always set one goal for a friend because I'm a weirdo like that, and like coaxing people into trying new things. o_o; I got one of my friends into Death Note, and she absolutely loves Matsuda now. My goal for you is to get you to write something for the Death Note fandom! =D But since that can wait and I'm not going to force you, then at least check out some Death Note communities? XD They're ADDICTING.

I found a quarter in a pair of shoes a couple of days later. XD I love vintage things, too. I tend to look like I walked out of a 1960 McCall's, but oh well. It's how I'm comfortable, so that's what matters, right?

I've checked out communities here and there strike for the pr0ns, though I keep forgetting to join them... I will most definitely end up writing something for DN, I've written for nearly every fandom I've been in, even if I haven't posted it all. In fact, I think the only thing I've ever posted in an "official" context is Doctor Who. It's just a matter of getting comfortable enough with the voices. My husbands Light and L intimidate me sometimes. :\
