I just finished watching New World, the last episode of the dubbed Death Note anime. I've seen this episode I don't KNOW how many times, as well as watched clips of the last scene in particular, numerous times, and it still gets me. every. time. I sob like a BABY. Between watching Light die and seeing him see L again and the symmetry between his death and how he looked upon his death compared to Ls and OH GOD KILL ME NOW.

WHY CAN'T I PICK HAPPY FANDOMS FOR ONCE? CHRIST.

Oh god, that killed me. I mean, logically, I get the whole stabbing himself in the heart/aorta, whatever and blood shooting six feet, I GET IT. But damn. Someone could have given a brother a band-aid. And whoever said "leave it, he'll be dead in a minute anyway," or whatever pissed me off. >: But oh god, that Light/soft music/L bit kills me every time. I don't even want to think about it. :(

Yeah, I know what you mean! Mikami's death in the manga was a lot easier for me to accept. I hate that he had to die period though. >O

EEE. Mmm, that's yummy.

See, it's funny, because I think Light's death (and L's, come to think of it) in the manga was easier for me to deal with, too! Light's, especially, was just so...brutal and the anime is tame in comparison... I'm very much an "imagery" person, so I think having it quiet, and introspective and just sort of...end...is what did it for me for Light's death in the anime. The longer, drawn out one in the manga was easier to deal with because it's like "dude, there's no way he'll live through this."

The whole Light-running-bleeding-through-the-sunset-while-imagining-young-Light bit kills me, too.

I hate that all of them had to die! Stupid mangaka.

Yeah! I guess moving pictures is harder to deal with than simply reading and glancing at the art. =/ Wow, that sounded rather butchered.

I blamed all my emoness on Madhouse. DD= But DUDE, I have a surprise for you! ... Well, I will eventually. No, it's not another Light/Sayu fic (yet), but it's something that will still be pretty cool? Maybe? It's Light/Sayu related? Be happy? =D?
